Local Pastured Eggs: Circle Brook Farms
Pastured eggs from chickens fed local vegetables & non-GMO grain. In 2017 Circle Brook Farm created a mobile chicken coop used for raising birds on pasture. Rhode Island Red cross hens are outside all day, where they feed on the grass, local plants and insects as well as the organic vegetable waste which the farm generates. Their foraging diet is supplemented with milled grain (corn and soy) that is locally sourced and non-GMO. The birds spend the night on roosts inside the mobile chicken coop protected from predators. Every few days the mobile chicken coop is pulled by a tractor to different location on the field.
