Join Joshua J. Hajicek, MCFC CSA member and a celebrant of full sensory experiences, at a demo on how to master your most important kitchen tool! He will give suggestions and methods on how to cut your local produce to match the texture of your meals. First 6 members get hands-on practice. This workshop is essential to improve the taste and texture of your meals, to save time in the kitchen and keep you safe.
Bio: Joshua J. Hajicek is a Ph.D. candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center where he studies the biophysics of the inner ear. For over a decade he studied Ayurveda, eastern philosophy, and yoga. He was a Sous Chef at the Himalayan Institute’s Ayurvedic kitchen in Honesdale, PA, and tenured as a vegetarian cooking instructor at the former East West Books in NYC. He also studied pastry arts under Chef Laura Baldassarri and worked for Abigail Kirsch at NYC’s Pier Sixty and the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.
