MHS: Traditional Cooking on the Hearth: Feb 8

Carolina Capehart, the food historian who frequently cooks over the Montclair Historical Society hearth fireplace, is conducting a hands-on hearth cooking class at the Crane House on Saturday, February 8 from noon to 5 pm.  Attendees will prepare the food much as it has been prepared in the past using traditional tools and techniques.  The best part is you get to eat the meal you prepare!  Because of the open fire and sharp knives, we require a minimum age of 12 years, and prefer to have a parent or adult present with younger teens.
Cost is $55/person or $45 for MHS members.
Call at 973-744-1796 to register or send a note to mail@montclairhistorical.org.
