Strawberry Herb Jam & Rosemary Lemonade

For the Montclair Historical Society Herb Sale today MCFC brought some herb infused local foods to share with visitors. Rosemary Lemonade, Strawberry Lavender Honey Jam & Strawberry Thai Basil Jam offered inspiration for foods to make using local foods and herbs.


Although strawberry season hasn’t come yet, the summer food bug has hit! These strawberry jams are a taste of what is to come next month!

Rosemary Lemonade

5-6 lemons
3-4 sprigs of rosemary ( or dried loose equivalent)
1 cup sugar
6 cups water

In a small pot combine 1 1/2 cups water with 1 cup sugar. Cook over medium heat and stir to dissolve the sugar. Once the sugar has dissolved turn off the heat and throw in a sprig of rosemary. Allow that it sit until the water has cooled. Discard the rosemary sprig. Add lemon juice, additional water, & ice. For a cocktail add a splash of vodka. Now doesn’t that feel like summer’s on its way?
