Join Michaela Hayes of Crock & Jar on Sept. 7 th, 2012 from 4 – 6 pm at the Montclair Historical Society as she teaches you the basic principles of home canning. Through hands on experience, you will learn how to preserve your own harvest, your CSA share, and the variety of the farmer’s market to capture the bounty of harvest season. Canned produce make delicious gifts and helps you eat locally all year long.
The first six members to register will be able to take home a jar of diced tomatoes and plum jam. Can’t stay for the 2 hours? Members are welcome to watch at any stage.
